Meet the Artist:
ASI.JTRAN — Asia Jelks-Tran
From a Mother who’s creativity flows in various avenues and a Father who is truly a self taught “jack of all trades”: Asia Jelks-Tran was made.
Some of Asias’ earliest childhood memories are filled with her spending time in her mothers craft room: sewing, coloring, scrapbooking, painting— honestly whatever creative things she could get her little hands on.
For about 11 years her creativity was on pause due to the love of playing soccer but during her education, from middle school to college, she still took a total of 3 art classes (basics, intro to drawing + ceramics) and she kept up with doing some sketching + designing on her own time. The creativity was on pause but the desire to create was still burning and God had plans for a full creative comeback.
Her love for God and art would soon collide in the most beautiful and intentional ways.
In 2016 her true calling kicked in and Gods plans began and continue to unfold.
Her art style is a mix of abstract, contemporary and impressionism.
Asia is most inspired by God and His glory, her life, family, mankind and nature.
Her constant thought is “Whatever you ask of me God, I will do and whatever you pour, I will create”. Every piece is a piece she cherishes, pouring her heart and spirit into it with the hope and desire that it will bless all who come across it.

Artist Statement:
The glory of God can be expressed in an endless amount of ways.
Many will ask: well, what is the glory of God? It is the appearance and or manifestation of His excellence. In other words all that the eye can see: that means you, me and even the trees are classified as part of His glory.
As an artist, I keep this in mind because it reminds me of how limitless I really am and that He and His glory are the source of my inspiration. The flow God puts me on can start from the simplest to the heaviest things but with either beginning, my desire remains the same:
to create something that blesses and impacts others in a beautiful, God ordained way.
I create what God pours.
